I offer in-person and virtual coaching to support you towards your running goals. All of my packages are based on monthly fees, with the fee determined by how regularly we meet and the intensity of support you are expecting. We’ll work together to figure out the best level of support for you, depending on where you are in your journey and what you are looking for from a coach.

I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. The closest thing I have to a philosophy is a belief that all athletes have the potential within them to challenge themselves, improve and enjoy their running. My goal is to help them do that - whether that’s by working towards a podium, or by removing barriers to them being able to get out the door for an easy run.

I am generally a very positive person by default. I relish in celebrating each small success - whether that’s executing a tough session well, making a breakthrough in fuelling, or successfully taking a planned rest day. I am prepared to give honest feedback when it is needed though. Overall, I don’t have a one-size-fits-all philosophy - either on training theory or communication style - and I understand the importance of tailoring my approach to fit your needs.

I have always found a lot of joy in helping others to achieve big scary goals. This really started as a youth cricket coach when I was a teenager, and it has been a common thread in my professional life as well.

I was never blessed with blistering speed, but I have found a lot of joy in trail and ultra running. I am a tenacious (some would say stubborn) person, who has worked both hard and smart in the sport for over a decade to complete some big scary goals in my own running. I know what it takes to find a way to succeed in distances of 100 miles or longer.

Since starting Your Running Pal in June 2025, I have had the privilege of working with 15 amazing athletes. Many of these are based in Wellington and have goals that involved completing ultra-trail events. I also offer remote coaching services, with other YRP athletes based around New Zealand and overseas. I have coached athletes who have competed for podiums in prestigious races, athletes who have raced to beat cut-offs, and athletes with no race goals who want to be stronger and more resilient for adventures with friends.
You can read some reports from YRP athletes on the Testimonials page.
